In this lesson, we are going to answer a very common question. Is it too late to learn to play bass guitar as an adult? Wel, let's not just take my opinion, let's look at the facts, and the facts are, it's only too late if you lack the desire to learn.
The answer to this question is:
Nope! It’s never too late to learn to play bass guitar. All you need are three things:
#1: The desire to learn
#2: The willingness to do the work
#3: A comprehensive guide to get you there
If you have all three things, there is no way you can fail. But you must have all three to unlock the fun and joy of playing music. Once you have that, you will learn to play bass guitar.
The Desire To Learn
To achieve anything new in life (anything), you must have desire! This is the start of all things that have been achieved over time.
When you set an ambitious goal you head down a path of uncertainty, and it is how much desire you have towards that goal that makes the difference if you accomplish it or not.
You must have the desire
One of the reasons most people do not reach the goal they’ve set for themselves (any goal) is that they don’t have enough of a burning desire for it. That is why they end up quitting.
Do you have a burning desire to learn the bass guitar? If so, you’ve accomplished step one. If not, you’ll need to get it. Now, let’s look at step two.
The willingness to do the work
This is a must for anything you wish to achieve, especially if you want to play bass guitar. Because the strings are thick, the hands and fingers will need time to adjust to the activity of playing the bass.
Can you do it? Of course you can. It’s not impossible. Many other people have done it, so why not you? You just have to be willing to do the work. Do this daily, and you will see results.
Trust, you can get there
And yes, it is work. Just like all other things you’ve accomplished in your life. If you have the desire and you’re willing to do the work, there is no way you won’t get to where you are going.
So, if you have the first two things, the desire to learn the basics and the determination to make it happen no matter what- then all you need now is number three. Which will make the first two things much easier to accomplish.
