                                  Music Theory

Music theory is where you learn the language of music.  How chords are constructed, how scales are formed, what notes are in each key, when & where to play certain parts.  How do they all work together in harmony to become pleasant to the ear? The concepts and rules that make up music are very much like the rules that govern the written language.  Learning music theory can help musicians learn new techniques, perform unfamiliar styles of music, and develop the confidence to try new things.
